Important Information

about PTA Carline

For those who are new to the West End family, the PTA Carline is a committee of parent volunteers who open car doors at arrival each day so students can safely exit their vehicles.  It is a wonderful and much appreciated service.  

PTA volunteers will be on Clark Avenue, in front of the school, from 8:10 - 8:35am to open car doors and direct the students into the building.

Things You Need to Know

● Pull up SLOWLY on the school side of Clark Avenue ONLY if you are utilizing the PTA Carline.

● Parking is not permitted on the school side of

Clark Avenue at arrival time.

● Parents should not exit their vehicle.  If you would like to walk your child to the door, help with a backpack, or need to get out of your vehicle for any reason, you should not be on the carline.  Instead, you should park

on the opposite side of the street
(or around the corner).

● Children should remain buckled until

their vehicle comes to a complete stop.

● Children should be ready to exit the vehicle

when the PTA volunteer opens the door.

● Children must exit on the school side of the vehicle and NOT on the street side. This is for everyone's safety.

● Once your child has safely exited your vehicle, please pull away promptly (when it is safe, of course!) to keep the line moving.
