The West End PTA works towards our mission by coordinating fundraisers, events and parent volunteers to create an extra special year for the students, staff and families. All of these accomplishments are a result of a collaboration between a group of remarkable parent/guardian/grandparent volunteers and incredibly dedicated teachers and staff. We are proud of what we've accomplished over the years:
School year 2025-2026:
Provided a Property of West End t-shirt to EVERY first grader, new student and new staff member at the school
Voted unanimously to gift an Outdoor Classroom to the school
Voted unanimously to supplement funds earned by 24-25 Student Council to cover the cost of a Gaga pit to the school
Hosted Post-Meet the Teacher Night Breakfast for the staff
Organized 3 volunteers daily to open cars door for a smooth start to the day
Provided a Property of West End t-shirt to EVERY first grader, new student and new staff member at the school
Hosted up-cycling of outgrown Spirit wear to be distributed to younger students
Provided a Field Day T-shirt and lunch to EVERY student for Field Day celebration
Provided ice cream/Italian ices to all Champions as part of the Read-A-Thon celebration
Distributed $1,500 to Teachers through the West End PTA Teacher Grant Program
Supported the West End Drama Club with funds used for props, costumes and the backdrop
Voted unanimously to gift a P.S. I Love You bench to the school
Celebrated Unity Day by supplying Put-In-Cups for the West End Owl design on the playground fence
Partnered with several local restaurants and establishments for Dine-to-Donate events
Coordinated several Staff Appreciation events
Reinvigorated the West End Garden- coordinated clean up with parent volunteers and District grounds crew, planted, maintained and harvested garden
Celebrated Centennial year with purchase of milestone plaque and time capsule. Used funds to host school-wide carnival event and distributed Italian ices to all students.

Celebrated Unity Day by supplying Put-In-Cups for the West End and red heart design on the field fence near West End Way where each and every student installed their very own cup to show how they were a part of West End!
Participated in the National PTA Reflections Program, where we had two Nassau Region finalists — Drexel Farr and Cici Farr!
Began the “Teacher Feature” section of our monthly PTA calendars to build and foster the school-to-home connection, spotlighting different staff members each month!
Kicked off Mrs. Murray’s debut as principal at West End by holding a series of five grade-specific “Meet Mrs. Murray” outdoor get-to-know-you events for each Champion and their family to join her on the lawn, ask questions, and even win prizes!
Held our very first Witches and Wizards Fly-By, with parents and guardians dressing up to zoom by West End on bikes and scooters to give our Champions a little surprise fright to start Halloween off right!
Continued providing virtual Zoom simulcasts of our monthly PTA meetings to make PTA more accessible to anyone who wants to be involved, even from home or work!
Curated a slew of Safety Week events, including the ever popular BMX Bike Safety Stunt Show!
Brought our Halloween Party back indoors for the first year after our super-flexible outdoor version the year before to keep the spooky magic happening during unprecedented times!
Creatively adapted Picture Day to be an outdoor event to capture smiles and memories on film for years (and yearbooks!) to come!
Brought our Scholastic Book Fair and Holiday Boutique back in person from its virtual format the year before!
Hosted a select set of West End musicians to perform holiday hits at our December PTA meeting
