Things to do

To enable you to visit the local area we have two bicycles available for you to borrow. Devizes town is 3 miles to the west along the A342. 

Local pubs for lunch are shown below:

• Fox and Hounds - does a good selection of food and is only 2 miles away. It is a further 1.5 miles into Devizes.

• New  Inn at Coate - about 2.5 miles

• Bridge Inn at Horton - about 3 miles. From there it is possible to cycle the back way into Devizes along the canal towpath.

If you prefer to walk there is a coffee shop with snacks and a farm shop at The Old Potato Yard, Lydeway. It is about a 20 minute walk from the RWY28 threshold. Cross the railway, walk south for 10 minutes to a T junction, turn right and follow the track around to the left. At the road cross over and the Old Potato Yard is straight ahead.
