Inspired by historical works from the late 1960s, Zenith launched two unique diving watches. One of them is a modern replica of the model A3648. While retaining the essence of the original, the materials and movement have been upgraded. Different from the "square on the outside and round on the inside" outer ring of the Baume & Mercier Rivera diving watch, the Revival A3648 uses an octagonal case with a tetragonal bezel, and the bracelet is designed by Gay Freres https://www.aomwatches.is/.
As a replica watch, Revival A3648 retains the same 37 mm diameter as the original. The orange one-way rotating outer ring, orange hands and orbital scales, and the four-and-a-half-o'clock crown all better show the details of the original work.
On the basis of faithfully restoring the essence of the historical model, the new product has upgraded the movement: This model is equipped with a Zenith Elite 670 self-winding movement with a vibration frequency of 28800VPH and a power reserve of up to 50 hours. The material of the one-way rotating bezel has been upgraded from the acrylic insert of the historical model to sapphire material, and the entire watch is waterproof up to 600 meters. This is also currently one of the few 37mm watches that can achieve such performance.
At the same time, the brand also launched another new product called Defy Extreme. It focuses on modern style and absorbs a lot of popular designs. While inspired by the orange elements of A3648, many components including the hands, dial, and outer ring were reconstructed. The 42.5 mm diameter case is made of titanium, the sunray dial is decorated with a starry sky pattern, and the water resistance is also 600 meters.
Defy Extreme is equipped with Zenith’s original El Primero 3620-SC self-winding movement. This movement is a high-frequency movement (36000VPH) with a power reserve of up to 60 hours. In addition, it is equipped with an anti-magnetic escapement whose main components are made of silicon.
