Brooks Reinhard

Head coach at Harriton HS for 3 seasons, assistant coach at Unionville HS for 3 seasons, and assistant coach at Episcopal Academy for 7 seasons
Started rowing career at Tabor Academy in 1972, rowing at the Henley Royal Regatta in 1973
4-year varsity rower at Marietta College, including a first place win at the Dad Vail in the Men's Freshmen/Novice Heavyweight 8, and silver in the V8+ at Dad Vail his senior year

Spencer Scutti

Coach at Lower Merion since Spring 2026.
Rows for Saint Joseph’s University, where he is a senior and captain of the men’s rowing team.
As a junior at Saint Joe’s, sat 7-seat in the 2nd varsity 8, which placed first at the Jesuit Invitational.
As a freshman at Saint Joe’s, placed 3rd at Dad Vails in the 3rd varsity 8+ final.
LMHS ’23 graduate and crew team member, competing at Youth Nationals in the 1x in 2023.

Matt Sidlowski

Coach at Lower Merion since 2026, current middle school and masters coach for Whitemarsh Boat Club.
Over 5 years of coaching experience, having also coached for Wilmington Youth in 2022
Sent medaling crews to USRowing Youth Nationals with Whitemarsh Boat Club (2023) and St. Joe’s Prep (2024).
Coached a cancer survivor masters team to success at Head of Charles Regatta (2024-2025).
Guest coach for collegiate club programs including High Point University and Haverford College.
Competed as youth rower at Head of Charles Regatta and Youth Nationals in the 1x for Wilmington Youth Rowing Association in 2021.
Fun Fact: Matt was a nominee for JL Racing “Coach of the Year” in 2025

Sam Garrity

Coach at Lower Merion since 2024 and Whitemarsh Boat Club, 2018-2023.
Has been a coxswain for more than two decades.
Varsity coxswain at Iona University, started rowing career as a coxswain at Egg Harbor Township High School
Coaching philosophy: I coach because rowing has been truly life-changing for me, and I want to pass along the greatest parts of what this sport has given me — confidence, community, resilience, lifelong friendships, and a sense of belonging — to the next generation of rowers.
Fun fact: Volunteers with the Stotesbury Cup Regatta to help ensure that every young athlete has the best possible experience at one of rowing’s most special events.
