Notes from Jill:
The originator of this recipe liked to use Planters' Peanuts. I like to use at least on jar of roasted peanuts (any brand) and one jar or container of other less expensive peanuts -- do not use raw peanuts. The originator also liked to use Nestle chocolate. I really vary what I use, since we like dark chocolate. I often get the higher quality chocolate from Trader Joes. The bark really helps with the texture and by adding good chocolate, it doesn't hamper the flavor at all. Also, the low setting on my old crock pot was perfect, but it is too hot on my new one -- so I set it to "warm".
