Test-O-Rama

Test jig for Light-O-Rama controllers.

So I'm at the point where I have a decent sized pile of Light-O-Rama 16 channel controllers and each year I test them all. It is a messy event with 16 strings of lights that eventually become tangled and it takes alot of space. So for 2015 I made myself a Test-O-Rama.

The jig is very simple. I basically made 16 short extension cords (2') using SPT1 wire and vampire male plugs. Then I put a vampire C9 socket near the end of each of the extension cords and dipped the ends in liquid tape. Then I simply staple gunned the 16 C9 sockets to a painted 2x4 piece of scrap wood.

Now to test a controller I just plug in all my little extension cords to the channels of one of my Light-O-Rama controllers making it much cleaner to test.
