For 2015 I'm adding some Dumb RGB elements to my display. When I saw dumb I mean I have a set of lights that are RGB and can be set to any color, but they are dumb in the sense that they all change color together. Versus a pixel or smart set of RGB lights where each light can be individually controlled.
In early experiments I used a Enttec Pro Dongle, which connected to my computer via a USB cable. This allowed me to control 1 universe of 512 channels, or 170 RGB channels (3 channels each).
Now with this E1.31 DMX Bridge I can have 4 universes of 2048 channels or 680 RGB channels. Also instead of connecting to it via USB I connect to it using Ethernet so I can put it closer to my lights.
