Celebrate Pi Day with these math-inspired books

A quick check of the catalog shows our library has dozens and dozens of books (119, exactly) connected with mathematics in some way. The ones featured here I selected based on specific criteria (catchy title, currency, cool cover, moon phase). Pi Day--or all of March--is a great time to try one out. Some offer how-to advice, such as Danica McKellar's Kiss my Math: Showing Pre-Algebra Who's Boss. Others, such as Geekspeak: How Life + Mathematics = Happiness, uses humor to explain complex math. In An Abundance of Katherines, Colin works to prove a mathematical theorem of love after he is dumped by 19 girls named, you guessed it, Katherine.
