Building off of Anderson’s idea of nations being imagined communities; identify your “nationality.” Then create a 30 sec. commercial / public service announcement (PSA) presentation of your nationality providing cultural heritage with examples of national representation, identity and pride. It should examples of visual art, music, literature, flags, and language. Use the criteria of identifying a nation we have discussed in class and offered by Alter, Anderson, Gellner and Hroch. (History, language, religion, culture, territory, heritage, etc.)
Presentation should be in digital format that you share with me. (e.g.: Google docs, power point, prezie, movie, etc.)
Overall length of created piece should be no more than 2 minutes.
