This is the introductory unit to Revolutions. We will cover a number of revolutions as we make our way through history, beginning with the French experience and ending in the late 20th Century. Attached below are word document versions of several causal models of revolutions as well as Crane Brinton's model for the course of modern revolutions.
The order of the downloads is approximate to their historical origins, all 20th century arguments for the origin of early / modern revolutions. The last three models are variations on a theme for Crane Brinton's work in The Anatomy of Revolution, if you are interested.
