PassTech

PassTech is a free tool to check the rules of the sanctioning bodies and check your safety gear to see if it can pass tech at your next event!

Try it at https://passtech.frogracing.us/ (and yes it's free!)

You can install it on your iPhone or Android for offline use or just use it online from any device!

Installation

PassTech can be used online by directly accessing https://passtech.frogracing.us/ but you can use it offline if you install it as an app (see below for install instructions). Note that some functionality does not work when offline (see table below), mostly the image recognition with the vision model that is provided by Gemini. Also links to rulebooks are directly downloaded from the sanctioning body websites and require Internet access.

Android installation instructions

To install PassTech on your Android device, follow these steps:

Open your browser and go to https://passtech.frogracing.us/

1. On the top right of your browser at the end of the URL bar, click on the 3 dots

2. In the menu, choose 'Install and create shortcut on home screen' (it may vary depending on your Android version, it could be 'Install app' or 'Add to Home Screen'

3. A pop-up will prompt you if you want to Install the app, just select Install.

If you have network connectivity, the app will automatically refresh with the latest version and contact passtech.frogracing.us. If you are offline, the phone will use the latest version of the rules that was used the last time you were connected. Note that tag scanning uses image recognition and it only works if you are online (we cannot do image recognition on the phone). PassTech uses the Gemini AI API to retrieve certification tags in your pictures.

iOS installation instructions

To install PassTech on your iPhone/iPad, follow these steps:

Open Safari and go to https://passtech.frogracing.us/

1. Tap the Share icon (square with an arrow pointing up) in the toolbar (could be at the top or bottom depending on your version).

2. Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"

3. Confirm to Add to the Home Screen and the app will be installed.

Listing your products on PassTech

PassTech gives recommendations to users by providing a shopping link where they can purchase the required safety item. If you are interested in having your products linked in PassTech for users to easily find your store and product page, contact us at passtech@frogracing.us. We can setup affiliate links and provide advertisement space.
