Dear Students!
1. Go online and find out the names of the countries that are on the equator.
2. Choose one country and do a project about it.
The equator passes through 13 countries: Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, Sao Tome & Principe, Gabon, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, Kenya, Somalia, Maldives, Indonesia and Kiribati.
3. Create a video or a PowerPoint presentation about a country of your choice.
Your task is to educate your audience about the country - assume they know little or nothing about it.
Your PowerPoint presentation must be well-organized, well-presented and well-researched.
This project will take time (4 weeks), effort and focus.
You need to include at least one slide on each of the following categories and facts relating to the country chosen:
1). An introductory page that includes:

b). The major languages spoken there
c). The capital city of the country
d). The location of the country in the world (which continent?)

2). The geography of the country:
a). A map of the country

c). Major Bodies of Water (Seas, Lakes, Rivers)
d). Major Cities.
3). Economy
a). Type of Economy
b). Major types of land use
c). Major Industries
d). Available resources
e). Type of Currency
4). Culture
a). Clothing b). Music
c). Holidays d). Religions
e). Food
5). General weather conditions
a). Average yearly rainfall
b). Average yearly temperature
c). What effects the climate has on the country
6). Some interesting information about the country.
