End of year test

There will be a mid-year test on Friday 25th May.

You can see all the things that will be expected in the mid-year test. You will have 50 minutes to complete the test. If you are stuck on a question go on to the next one and try doing it again later. Use as much of the time as you can to check for any mistakes.

There are three parts to the test:

The 1st part is grammar.

The 2nd is reading.

The 3rd part is writing.

1. You will be tested on the following grammar for your test:

Plurals (be able to change a noun into the plural and from the singular into the plural)

2. You will have one of Aesop's Fables to read and have to answer 5 questions. You will be tested on the following:

What the title of the story is

What the characters do in the story

What the moral of the story is

3 adjectives to describe the main character

3. You will be tested on the following for the writing;

Write what you did last weekend.

Write at least 10 sentences.

Include 5 adjectives and 5 adverbs.

The sentences must make sense (not random sentences put together).

Put it in the past tense.

Try to get most of your spelling and punctuation correct.

Write neatly so the person marking can see what you have written.
