ARPA/Maintenance Projects

Originally, this funding application was for the West & Northwest Lake Drive Expansion Project - 2021. (see the Projects tab for further information.) Some of the maintenance projects intended to be completed under this funding application would be the replacement of the sanitary sewer in the Lake Poinsett Estates area, rehabilitation of additional lift stations, the replacement of the mainline to the existing lagoon and the sanitary sewer replacement on North Lake Drive approximately from address 106 North to 202 North.

The revised funding application for the maintenance projects will be discussed at the BWNR Meeting on May 17th, 2022. During that meeting the DANR did award the LPSD $2,790,25 in ARPA funds and a loan of $1,809,749 at 3.25% interest. The LPSD has prioritized the LPE Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project and the Phase 2 Lift Station Rehabilitation Project as the top prioritizes

On October 30th, 2024 the LPSD opened bids for the North Lake Drive Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project and the Pier 81 Sanitary System Replacement Project and plans to award the contract at their November 9th, 2024 regular board meeting. These projects would include a construction time from approximately December 2024 to April 2026.

As of November 9th, 2024 the LPSD Board has awarded the contract for the two above reference projects, contingent on DANR approval, to Winter Contracting, LLC. Next steps will include the official approval from DANR and then a pre-construction meeting.
