Gulşehir Çok Programlı Lise in Gulşehir has 250 students and 20 teachers. It has ICT and Electrical-Electronical technologies departments and gives young people vocational skills. Most of our students are from rural areas, small villages, have no chance of making academic education and they are children in families with low socio-economic level. For these reasons they prefer our schools, because our school is the shortest way to passing working life. In addition to these, most of our students relatives are working abroad in European countries. We think that our students can go abroad and work there after school education.
Gulşehir ÇPL is the coordinator of this project and developed this project that our students do not have fear of losing own values, societal cohesion and communication problems in European community.
This project is suitable for the ICT and Electric Technology department's curriculum. Our school students are source of tomorrows' world of work. This project will give them the skills they need in business life and social life. So we want to carry out this project related both labor mobility and social cohesion&Values Orientation. The works on this project will help our pupils and teachers to improve their understanding of European cooperation and developing an active European citizenship based on inter-cultural dialogue and understanding, respect and tolerance for other cultures. Our goal is to give our students the opportunity to understand the importance of cooperative and team working on the European field. Many other aims are expected from the European cooperation of the Partnership, such as the development of social, cultural and linguistic skills in a European context, to increase motivation creating a team atmosphere, etc...
This project has increased a great motivation among our students and our teachers&head teachers. By this project all our students will get the same opportunities to study on this project and develop their skills and competence. Beside this will bring such an equality to our students that some of our students couldn't even afford to go a nearby city that they will have the opportunity to visit abroad,observe business world,job opportunity,social institutions in different country, walk in some European streets and live and study with different people. We want our students to know that the world is not just consist of their hometown and to arise their European.
