NSW Workshops

In 2020, NESA changed its processes for PD for teachers as well as requirements for NESA endorsed training. Currently, the Key Word Sign Basic workshop is not a NESA Accredited PD. KWS Australia will work with NESA to possibly become an accredited PD once the new NESA process and requirements are released publicly later in 2021. In the meantime, KWS Basic workshops with KWS Australia Professional Presenters, can continue to contribute to teachers' maintenance of accreditation requirements even if it is not NESA Accredited PD. The judgement about the quality of non-accredited PD will be made by teachers whom can discuss this with their KWS Presenter as many of the PD courses currently offered by previously endorsed providers that do not relate to one of the identified Page 1 priority areas will continue to be relevant and valuable to teachers, depending on their individual learning needs and goals.
