Vita

Kuo-Shih Tseng is an associate professor in the Department of Mathematics, National Central University, Taiwan since Aug., 2018. He is the director of Robotic Search Lab.

Kuo-Shih got his Ph.D. in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at University of Minnesota. His supervisors are Prof. Bérénice Mettler and Prof. Maria Gini. His current research interests include robotic search, human behavior analysis and reinforcement learning. He received the B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Chung Yuan Christian University, Taiwan, in 2002, the M.S. degree in Bio-Industrial Mechatronics Engineering from National Taiwan University, Taiwan, in 2004. He received his second M.S. degree in the Computer Science from University of Minnesota, in 2013. From 2004 to 2009, he was an associated researcher with the Intelligent Robotics Technology Division, Mechanical and System Research Laboratories, Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), Hsinchu, Taiwan. In 2006 Fall, he was a visiting scientist in MIT CSAIL. From 2009 to 2011, he was a researcher with KYH Co., Ltd., Taiwan.
