So I haven't actually completed either Arena or Daggerfall? When I try to play Arena, I get stuck in the starting dungeon due to my inability to jump or swim. In Daggerfall, the custom class creation is so ridiculously intricate and rewarding that I basically do nothing but make more and more and more characters, none of which ever end up anywhere.
I've got characters that are my official Eternal Champion and Emperor's Agent. They do what they do.
