Here is a link to an Excel document that houses your (final) grades: http://bit.ly/MZI9Uu
I have also created a Google spreadsheet document (http://bit.ly/T3Cbmr), so that you can view grades if you do not have access to MS Excel.
A Note About Your Grades:
You will need MS Excel to view your grades. If you do not have Excel you can access this useful program through YC's virtual desktop connection, Cloud. Click here to learn more about, and log-into YC CLOUD. Once you have opened the Excel spreadsheet document, scroll all the way to the right and find the last few digits of your "Y Number" in the orange column (the "Y Number" is like your YC ID number and it can be found on all of your registration documents, both paper and online versions). If you need help finding out what your Y number is, navigate here and focus on item 2a, or just send me an email.
Once you locate the last few digits (usually the last three or four digits, actually) of your "Y number" ID in the orange column, look directly to the left in the yellow column. The percentage represents your current cumulative percentage grade in the course. This grade may frighten you, but don't be alarmed. My grades are weighted and if you have a very low grade, it is likely that you have not turned in a few assignments. As nothing else is graded at the beginning of the semester, just a few assignments compose a larger proportion of your grade than the same assignments would if they were given later in the semester. So, if you miss just one or two assignments at the beginning of the semester, these will vastly lower your grade because these one or two assignments compose the whole of your grade. So, don't worry, just get the assignments turned in early and often and get off to a great start. If you miss a few assignments at the beginning of the semester, your grade will look quite bleak for a while, but don't give up. Things will eventually balance out during the last few weeks of the semester when more assignments will have been graded, especially the heavier waited ones, such as the final exam.
The Spreadsheet is an improvement on the Blackboard grade center as you are able to click on the assignment summary at the top of a column and link to the assignment description, or, in some cases, to the assignment itself. In this way, you should always know what the assignments are that you are missing.
I will update grades from time-to-time here. Copy and past the link into a new tab in your web browser and the file will download.
