Roche Rock

Roche Rock in Cornwall

The stone tower built on the granite outcrop  of Roche Rock is said to have been the dwelling of the hermit Ogrin who sheltered the lovers Tristram, a knight of the round table, and Isolde from the wrath of the betrayed King Mark, who is said to have been the husband of Isolde and uncle of Tristram.

(Location - The rock is situated near the village of Roche, pronounced "Roach", which is about 6 miles from St Austell and 6 miles from Bodmin)
