Castle Killibury

Castle Killibury, Nr Wadebridge

Early Welsh eleventh century writings refer to Arthur having a court at Kelliwic in Kernow.  Many think this to be Castle Killibury, a hill fort just off the Atlantic Highway, about one and half miles north of Wadebridge, traveling in the direction of Camelford.  The location is also known as “Kelly Rounds” and is some 250m in diameter.  A sizeable part of the hill fort remains visible but much has been lost due to frequent ploughing.
