Milestone 2026 Event Notice (at end of this page)
第12届Milestone，将于2026年8月23日，周日上午，举行。
活动内容：在一个300米的环路上，滑行一小时，看小孩能滑多少圈，每积累到一定圈数后（根据小孩的水平而定），可以兑换成一件小礼物，由小孩自己从礼物箱子中挑选，详情可以参考Milestone FAQ https://sites.google.com/site/kidsinlineskateclass/milesstone-faq
活动日期：2026年8月23日，周日上午8:30至11:30，下雨延后，如果当天不能活动，将延期到接下来的某个周日，取决于场地的时间安排。
活动场地：Major Taylor Velodrome, https://indycycloplex.com/。每个报名上场滑行的小朋友都要签Velodrome的liability Waiver，在这里https://indycycloplex.com/waiver 。
报名资格：内部活动，不对外开放。限今年的A, B, C, K,Q组小朋友及成人班，与往年一样，将按平时的成绩，分为不同组。
活动日程安排:
7:15AM 布置场地，架设计圈系统，Canopy，阳伞，摆放发奖品的桌椅
8:00 开始入场，检查waiver是否已签。
8:10 小孩穿轮滑鞋，试滑场地，确认电子学号工作
8:20 紧急撤离演习
8:45 起点点名，强调活动注意事项
9:00 正式开始滑圈
10:00 滑圈结束
10:10 集体照
10:30 发奖品（Milestone2026奖杯，每个人都有）
11:00 志愿者合影，自由活动，清理场地
11:30 解散回家
虽然我们称之为“1小时的活动”，加上前后时间，实际上是一上午的活动，希望家长们计划好时间。
报名截止日期：即日起至2026年8月8日截止。今年的轮滑课/活动报名表上的waiver将自动适用于本次活动，已有学号的，请填写统计表，直接付费（详见，报名费及报名过程）。
报名费：每个小朋友 $45 ，做为活动经费，属于捐款性质，用于给小孩买礼物，租场费等；如付现金，周日交给Yating Jiang；如果用Zelle (原名Quick Pay)付给kidsinlineskating@gmail.com。报名费一概不退，请考虑好再报名。
报名过程：两步：

没有报名的家庭请注意：这个活动是严格按报名人数精确设计的，没有余量，如果想参加，请一定要在截止期内报名。截止日期之后，我们将不再接受报名，更不接受现场报名。也就是说，如果你没有给你家小孩报名，活动当天，请不要带小孩到场。因为大部分工作都要提前一个月准备。
Waiver: 总计两个waiver，一是轮滑课的waiver，如果你已交过，不必再交，二是Velodrome的waiver，自己在网上填，见前面的说明。
成人班报名：与小朋友手续相同。

The 12th Milestone will be held on Sunday morning, August 23, 2026.
Event Description:
Children will skate for one hour on a 300-meter loop to see how many laps they can complete. As they accumulate a certain number of laps (depending on each child's skating level), they can redeem them for small prizes, choosing their own prizes from the prize box. Event Date:
Sunday, August 23, 2026, 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM.
In case of rain, the event will be postponed. If it cannot be held on that day, it will be rescheduled to a following Sunday, depending on venue availability.

Eligibility:
This is an internal event and is not open to the public. Participation is limited to this year's A, B, C, K, and Q groups, as well as the adult class. As in previous years, participants will be divided into groups according to their regular skating performance.
7:15 AM – Set up the venue, install the lap-counting system, canopy, umbrellas, and prize tables/chairs.
8:00 AM – Participant check-in; verify that the waiver has been signed.
8:10 AM – Children put on skates, test skate the track, and confirm that their electronic ID numbers are working.
8:20 AM – Emergency evacuation drill.
8:45 AM – Roll call at the starting line; review important event instructions.
9:00 AM – Official start of the one-hour skating event.
10:00 AM – End of skating.
10:10 AM – Group photo.
10:30 AM – Prize presentation (everyone will receive a Milestone 2026 trophy).
11:00 AM – Volunteer group photo, free skating, and venue cleanup.
11:30 AM – Event concludes.
Although we refer to this as a "one-hour event," including setup and awards, it is actually a full morning activity. Parents are encouraged to plan their schedules accordingly.
Registration Deadline:
Registration is open now through Aug 8, 2026.
The waiver signed for this year's skating classes/activities will automatically apply to this event. Participants who already have an assigned ID number only need to complete the registration form and submit the registration fee (see Registration Fee and Registration Process below).
Registration Fee:
$45 per child. The fee is considered a donation to help cover event expenses, including prizes and venue rental.
If paying by cash, please give it to Yating Jiang on Sunday.
If paying by Zelle (formerly Quick Pay), send payment to kidsinlineskating@gmail.com.
Registration fees are non-refundable. Please consider carefully before registering.

Important Notice for Families Who Have Not Registered:
This event is planned based strictly on the number of registered participants, with no extra capacity. If you wish to participate, you must register before the deadline. After the registration deadline, no additional registrations will be accepted, including on-site registration.
In other words, if you have not registered your child, please do not bring your child to the event on the event day, as most of the preparation work must be completed one month in advance.
Waivers:
There are two waivers in total:
The skating class waiver. If you have already submitted it, you do not need to submit it again.
The Velodrome waiver, which must be completed online as described above.
Adult Class Registration:
The registration procedure is the same as for the children's classes.
