Please observe all current community COVID protocols. If you have any questions about what to do, please read this from KPBSD:

Kenai Peninsula Borough School District-Symptom Free School Protocol

Although we are a community club open to all residents of the Kenai Peninsula, many participants are students in the district, therefore following these general guidelines is highly encouraged.

Welcome to our club website. We've tried to provide plenty of links on the left sidebar to help inform those interested in our club and the sport of fencing. Those that are new to the sport and wish to know more about it are encouraged to review the "What is fencing?" link and enjoy various videos and links at the bottom of the page prior to starting classes.

A little about our Club...

KPFC is a member of the United States Fencing Associations and therefore adheres to the rules of conduct and requires all students to join the USFA and maintain current membership to actively engage in the state wide competitive programs, through the Alaska Division.

KPFC started in Homer providing fencing as a sport to Homer area residents and students through the community schools program that was originally founded by coach Wes Cannon. Wes provided a solid foundation for all students in the Olympic sport of fencing. Currently the Homer chapter is coached by Scott Meyer and Ethan Ford, who learned the sport under the coaching guidance of Wes Cannon. Currently, the Homer Chapter is on hiatus and may resume sessions in the future.

KPFC has now expanded to the Soldotna/Kenai area and meets at The Anchor of Hope Church of Kenai. All sessions are facilitated by Peter Gundunas. Peter brings many years of fencing experience to the Kenai club. His energy and enthusiasm for the sport helps keep new fencers engaged while still teaching sound foundations to the sport.

If you wish to join us for an introductory session and to check out our sport, please download, print, and sign this waiver to bring with you.
