I have always felt a need to share my experiences and grow our community to ensure we are truly inclusive and make room for people like me, even in academia. Continuously learning and sharing has been paramount to my work in Education, especially true for Special Education as a Leader. Here you will find my conversation with Dr. Kathryn Garforth, Ph.D., Founder of Garforth Education and The Right To Read Initiative.
In the 20 years I have been doing this work, seldom do I see the National Reading Panel BIG 5 in every classroom. Largely Fluency & Morphology are missing & educators don’t know where to start. The goal of this work is to create a comprehensive resource that is trusted, opensource, easy to implement for novice practitioners, has research for Deaf Educators & is FREE or low-cost, accessible for all!
