We've done our best to make Keep Ya Beat bug free. However, we can't test it on all systems and it has some complexity. Like any software it is possible you will encounter unintended errors.
*Tip: if you encounter a problem, first check to see if there's a newer version on this site. Perhaps the problem you're seeing has already been fixed!
If you do still have a problem, please report it... it will take a few minutes, but it really helps us to improve the application. You'll find the Report A Bug tool under the 'More...' menu (see General Help).
Can You Repeat It?
Keep Ya Beat writes some log files during normal operation for keeping track of things in case of errors. However it's minimal, if you are able to repeat the error (because you know what steps you did that produced it), it helps us a lot if you click Yes and do that first. So, when you click the Report A Bug menu option, it shows you the following window first.
Let's say you do know how to repeat it and you click on that option. You'll then see the next window to remind you to take a screenshot of the error happening if you can. Pressing <Ctrl> and <P> together will take a picture of the screen which will automatically be included in the diagnostic output which you can send to us (see below).
Maximum details are then switched on for 10 minutes so you can repeat the error.
Reporting The Error
After you have repeated the error come click Report A Bug from the menu again to continue, you'll see the next window. There are 2 main steps:
Please email the report to us at the address shown (you can use the copy button and paste it into your email application). The diagnostic report file is usually written to your home folder (on most systems), you'll get a short notification like in the following example (a) to tell you exactly where it is. Just attach it to the email the way you normally do it.
