Rhythm Player is the main Keep Ya Beat module. From here, you can easily play and adjust settings for your rhythms.
There are 3 main parts:
1) The playing rhythm display (a on the example) - with buttons (b) to:
You can also create a new rhythm and save it using the toolbar buttons (c). Save also works for changing name and saved tags (used for grouping/searching, see below). The other toolbar buttons open/close the list of saved rhythms, share selected rhythms, open edit on the current rhythm.
A couple of extra points on the example:
i) Note there's a half (sub) beat on the beat numbered 4 (it's that pink section, because it's an 'Alternate beat' type which currently is set to that colour). Clicking there opens a view of the sub beats - more explanation about sub beats in the next section, Rhythm Editor.
ii) The first beat in the rhythm is not the one that has a 1 over it. Beat numbering is usually from 1, but it's up to you and how you count it. The example shows the Cha Cha Cha (see the name is at the top), and this is often counted with 1 as the 4th beat.
2) The beat type settings (a in the following example) - allowing setting of volume/sound and appearance (display number/colour) for each type of beat in the playing rhythm. You can open/close the settings panel using the toggle button (b), or close (c). These settings are for this rhythm only, within the Preferences page (under the menu 'More...' button) you can make a lot more adjustments to how beats appear as they are playing (see General Help).
3) The saved rhythms list - for search/selection, editing or just viewing of rhythms. Open/close from the button (a). Keep Ya Beat comes preloaded with many rhythms of different genres, you can search by name or tags, (save a rhythm to add your own tags too). In the example (b) the list has been filtered by name (all rhythms containing the letter 'b' in the name) and those that have the tags '4 beat', 'latin', 'ballroom'.
Right-clicking on a rhythm will display a popup menu (c) to open (double-click also opens), change name/tags, edit, delete and duplicate the rhythm.
Hover over the rhythm to see a larger thumbnail of it with more details without having to open it.
