You determine your own needs, as I believe you to be the expert on yourself. I bring my expertise to the counseling process, but ultimately you decide what you find useful and what you do not. In this way you need never feel out of control with your own personal therapy. My approach emphasizes an individual’s drive toward healing, learning, meaning, and human potential. Being an integrative therapist, I have found truth in all theories I have studied, and will bring these to the counseling process in the way I feel they best suit you. I do not believe any one orientation is appropriate for all, and will therefore adapt my therapeutic approach to meet your individual needs.
I have a Master’s Degree in Applied Behavioral Science from Bastyr University. My experiences as a psychotherapist and community agency counselor have connected me with people from diverse experiences, races, religions, cultures, and sexual orientations. Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked many years in the physical fitness field. I was an owner/manager of a health club, a personal trainer, and instructor of fitness trainers in several regions of the world. I’ve spoken as an international fitness expert for many organizations, including key-note speaker at the Asian-wide Conference in Malaysia.
