Kirtland RiderCoaches
The first to show, and the last to leave; ensuring a properly setup classroom as well as each exercise out on the range; and master of the both verbal and non-verbal coaching techniques; the RiderCoaches must demonstrate competence by having a good motorcycle knowledge base, having an understanding of the curriculum and unit content, having an ability to provide learner-centered instruction and manage group dynamics, as well as having the technical skills to work with multimedia.
Teaching is an art as well as a science. Learning is also a complex dynamic. Our RiderCoaches have what it takes and competencies to manage an environment that facilitates the development of rider knowledge and skill. They are there to help guide you in the learning process of practicing safe riding techniques while ensuring the safety of others. They are there to help you develop the fine motor skills necessary in everyday riding. And above all, they are there to help you remember to Be Smart, Get Trained, Wear Your Gear & Ride Safe.
Our MSF Certified RiderCoaches volunteer their time and expertise to ensure you get the best training possible. These individuals coach on KAFB because of their love of riding and educating both riders new and old. Next time you take a class or see one please thank them for their time and dedication in making KAFB M/C training one of the best in the Air Force and State.

“I had never sat on a motorcycle when I took the MSF course in 2006. Since then I’ve developed a passion for all things 2 wheels, off-road, track riding, commuting and long trips. There’s nothing better than being on a motorcycle on a good road or trail!”

“I love all types of motorcycling and have been riding since 1992. Love doing longer rides both on road and off, and getting to the track when I can. I love passing on my knowledge and in addition to being a Rider Coach I instruct DoD EOD and am a PADI Scuba instructor. Keep it rubber side down!
