· Recited and explained Shree Parshwanath Prabhu – Chityavandan- “Aash Puro Prabhu Pasji” and Stavan – “Tu Prabhu Maro, hu Prabhu Taro” with meaning.

· Played Jeapordy game based on the Tirth Project done in the class.

Homework:

· Memorize the entire Pukharvardivadha sutra.

· Read Story about Ghandar Sudarma Swami (Page 41 ) from book 202, Jain Story book. We will have question answer session in coming class. Also bring additional information about him via internet search.

· Classify 5 pap that you may have committed knowing or unknowing in next 3 weeks and write them down and give a name to it based on the 18 pap’s taught to you. E.g. I wanted to skip Jain study class, therefore I told my parents my head hurts (when actually you din’t) – This falls under “Mrushavad” – speaking falsehood. Only teachers will look at this, not to be discussed in the class.

· Work on your essay. Essay is due on April 7.

· Memorize first 2 stanza of Pukharvardivadha (total of 5 lines upto “Seemadharassa vande”).

· Revise Shravak’s 12 vrats. We will play a quiz game based on this topic.

· Students please email your respective tirth presentation files to “Chintan Maheshwari and Yug Chauhan”. They will prepare a game based in these tirths and present them in April class.

Class Work:

· Recited 18 Paapsthanak (until Ter me Abhyakhyan….).

  • Explained the meaning of Saat Lakh sutra. Why and where we recite it.

  • There will be an oral and a written exam on September 23rd. The exam will have questions from all topics covered in the class since the beginning of the year. Oral exam will be of sutras, stutis learnt in past classes. Also, snatra puja duhas will be asked to recite which will be open book.

Home Work:

  • Memorize 18 Paapsthanak sutra (until Ter me Abhyakhyan).

  • Bring in writing your 5 vows (refer 12 vows of Shravak & Shravikas) that you can think you are comfortable taking for a short period of time. Please be very specific and clear in writing the vow you would like to take.

  • Read Chapter 17 - pages 67-70 from book 302 and Chapter 2.6 – pages 40-42 from book 203. Write a combined summary from both books on types of jivs and their examples.

  • We had a combined class with 5A. Kids from 5A explained all about “Sharavak Na 12 Vrat” and kids from our class explained about “Samayik”. It was very interactive class & students’ participation was excellent & very active.

Home Work:

  • Recite the Stuti: “Antar Na Ek Kodiya Ma Deep Bale che Zhankho”.

  • Memorize the Saat Lakh Sutra learnt so far in the class.

  • Read Chapter 5 from book 302 – pages 23 to 27 about “12 Vrat of Sharavak” & write a summary. We will have short quiz about it in next class.

  • Again, we visited temple & performed Guruvandan as part of learning process.

  • Recitation of previously learned some sutras.

Homework for next class:

  • Please, practice the assigned topic of Samayik for our next combined class with Group 5A, on June 10. Students of 5B will be explaining their part regarding Samayik in combined class.

  • Read story of Bhgawan Neminath from Book 202 & write summary.

· In next class, students are going to perform skits # 12, 9,11,3 from book JES 104. The character part of each skit has been assigned in the class. Students can perform their part of skit open book. If anyone has any question regarding their part please, call us.

· Recite new stanzas taught in the class for Snatra Puja and continue bringing the book to the class.

· Recite the Guruvandan Vidhi at home; we will again do Guruvandan in Temple in the starting of the class.

· Recite sutras learned so far at least once or twice in a week & keep log in Sutra Recitation Sheet.

Also memorize the sequence of sutras to be recited in Chaityavandan. This is important as it will help you keep track as to when to say your assigned part while the Chaityavandan is been performed.
