The bible states in Psalm 5(11-12) “But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as [with] a shield.”

We will celebrate Joshua Joel Fletcher’s 5th Birthday tomorrow June 10th.  It is amazing how far the blessing and grace of God has brought Joshua.  In the beginning of his short life he was diagnose with the genetic disease Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA).  After all the time Joshua spent in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) to the battles Joshua face today it is nice to look back at where we were and where we are today I can truly say that God has certainly been the painter in has been drawing the picture of Joshua’s life on the canvas of life.

So today we say thank you to so many.  To everyone around the world that has prayed and continue to pray for Joshua, to every nurse and doctor in the Shands Network that has been a part of Joshua’s care, to his critical care team, to Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC), to Maxim Health Care that provide his home care nurses, to Medicaid, Key Pro, and EQ Solutions, to Lincare that provides his equipment’s and supplies, to the staff of Palliative Intensive Care Unit and CMS, to every bus driver at MV Transport that has taken Joshua to and from PPEC and his doctors appointments, to Three Rivers Legal services, and everyone that prays for Joshua instantly when they see him.  I would like to say thanks to every single person.  God has placed each and every one of you in Joshua’s life to be a blessing to Joshua through Joshua’s Journey.

We say Happy 5th Birthday Joshua and to each of you we say “The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.”
