Boating is one of our favorite ways to enjoy the lake: sailboats, canoes, paddleboats, rowboats, and motored boats are all welcome to share the lake. And don't forget to bring along your fishing tackle!
If you don't have a boat of your own, don't worry -- we have a 24' pontoon boat available for guests to use! You are also welcome to bring your own boats. Smaller boats (canoes, sailboats) can be put in at our property, and larger boats can be put in at the John's Lake Public Boat Access.
You can go waterskiing or tubing on the lake using the pontoon boat (but you will need to bring you own equipment: skis, tubes, ropes, etc.). You can also learn to waterski at the nearby Nordic Wake Park.
Important notes:
Guests boating on the lake must be familiar with, and follow, the lake rules, as well as all state boating laws.
Local lake rules help to ensure that the lake can be enjoyed by powered boats as well as unpowered boats and swimmers, and that the morning and evening hours are quiet -- perfect for fishing, observing wildlife, or just enjoying a few peaceful moments. Some of the most important lake rules:
