Welcome to the family!

Our family cabin on John’s Lake, in central Wisconsin, has been the site of many happy memories for us -- family reunions, graduation parties, weddings, Fourth of July celebrations, and lots of summer fun.

Now we are sharing this special place with others. Come make your own memories here at this secluded retreat amongst birch trees, herons, and wildflowers.

The lake is clear, calm, and perfect for swimming, fishing, sailing, boating and water sports. Use our pontoon boat and two canoes to enjoy the lake -- we'll only charge you for the fuel used! In the evening, enjoy a campfire at our fire pit by the lake.

On rainy days, sit in our three-season enclosed patio, play a game of ping-pong, pop in a DVD or stream from your Netflix or Hulu account to the TV, or set up a card table and play a few games.

The house has a large kitchen and a family-sized dining room that opens out onto a balcony, with an outdoor grill and views towards the lake. We have beds, sleeper sofas, and futons to sleep 14, and there is space to squeeze in more if you have a bigger gathering. And don't forget to bring your pets!

For a day out, explore the local wineries and antiquing, visit nearby golf courses, or check out our suggestions of daytrips to nearby attractions. Shops are only a 10-15 minute drive away in Wautoma.

Birch Bay Retreat is also an excellent location for a family reunion, a casual outdoor wedding, a retreat for a small group or club, or many other similar events.
