張貼日期:Jan 11, 2013 2:14:21 AM

Dear all,

Prof. Cheng Yuan-Chung will give lectures on time-dependent approach

to Optical Spectroscopy. If you are interested, please attend go to

his lectures (no registration is needed).

The tentative schedule is as follows:

1. Introduction to light-matter interactions and optical molecular

spectroscopy -- 1/11, 2:00PM-4:00PM

2. Time-dependent perturbation theory and Fermi's golden rule -- 1/16,

2:00PM-4:00PM

3. Response function formalism and linear response theory -- 1/21, 2:00PM-4:00PM

4. Time-domain description of linear spectroscopy -- 1/25, 2:00PM-4:00PM

5. Quantum dynamics and time-resolved spectroscopy -- 2/6, 2:00PM-4:00PM

6. Photon-echo spectroscopy -- 2/15, 2:00PM-4:00PM

Each meeting will be about 1.5 hours, and the lectures will focus on

covering the principle theoretical ideas in each of the topic listed.

All meetings will be held at Room 217 (66講堂) in the Chemistry Building

at NTU.
