Path Integral Molecular Dynamics (PIMD) and its application for Nuclear Quantum Effect.
Nuclear Quantum Effect plays a role in many systems, especially involving light nuclei. For hydrogen-bonded system, PIMD successfully describes large amplitude motion and multi-dimensional couplings. The more complex phenomenon such as quantum tunneling and temperature effect are also incorporated.
The recovery of quantum dynamics via Path Integral.
Though quantum statistical mechanics based on Feynman Path Integral is well-established, to recover correct quantum dynamics remains a very challenge topic. The exact formulation and the applicable extent of some computational approximations are still elusive.
