Physics Research Building # 1110

I started my graduate work at OSU in Fall 2016 after receiving my BS with majors in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I originally found my interest in magnetism and spintronics during my undergraduate research under Dr. Christian Binek, where I studied voltage-controlled exchange-bias heterostructures. I am pursuing a Ph.D. with the intent to either get a tenure-track faculty position at a research-based institution or get a job researching renewable/clean energy sources.

I am currently working in the Organic Spintronics subgroup growing V[TCNE], specifically focused on studying magnetothermal phenomena in this unique magnetic material. My thesis project is centered around exploiting V[TCNE]'s unique and superb magnetic properties to study topological magnon properties.

When I have free time, I enjoy playing/listening to music, woodworking/woodcarving, long-distance biking, and exploring the great local Metro Parks in Columbus.

Area Of Research: Organics Group

Current Research: Magnetothermal phenomena in the organic-based ferrimagnet V[TCNE] and topological properties of magnons
