Job Title: Ready Mix Driver
Job Time Type: Full Time (30 Hours or More)
Job Description: A Ready-mix Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the ready-mix truck used for delivery of products connected to the Company's ready-mixed concrete and other associated products such as resale items to construction sites.
Basic Duties: Primary responsibility is to drive concrete mixer to work sites and discharge load. This is in a variety of settings and conditions including uneven ground, and may require unloading and attaching extension chutes weighing thirty to fifty pounds to end of primary chute.
Tasks and Requirements:
Provide our customers with world-class service.
Perform all work as assigned by management.
Possess a Class "B" Commercial Driver's License.
Be at least 18 years of age
Be able to perform the essential job functions in accordance with current DOT regulations
Successfully pass a drug/alcohol screen at a company designated facility conducted in accordance with current DOT regulations
Have maintained a good driving record
Must be able to read, write and speak English
Must be able to do simple math, such as addition and subtraction
Obey all rules and regulation contained in the company's policies, safety manual and hourly employee's handbook
Complete daily vehicle DVIR checklist pertaining to safety, cleanliness and DOT requirements
Must have good working knowledge of the traffic routes of the area.
Keep assigned truck in acceptable condition of cleanliness using approved cleaning materials and supplies
Heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
Understand and practice the proper encoder and two-way radio (mobile telephone) procedures.
Complete all information on each delivery ticket and daily checklists
Must be able to take orders, instructions and guidance from supervisors and management
Must be able to deal with customers in many stressful situations without being discourteous
Able to work all scheduled hours including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
Perform all other duties assigned by management.
Education Level: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum Salary: 12.00 Hour
Maximum Salary: 18.00 Hour
Pay Comments: DOE (Depends on Experience)
