Notice

The pictures I present on this website are resized so they don't take up much space and upload faster, so if you make them bigger, I'm afraid the quality is going to be deteriorated, it's the only solution I found to allow the pages to upload faster on your screen.

Technical problem ?

Sometimes some pictures don't download normally. If this is the case, you only have to press F5 on your keyboard (or right-click your mouse and choose refresh), the page downloads again and errors are normally corrected. I love to take pictures, but I'm not a top website builder, therefore don't hesitate to send me a message if you detect something wrong.

Town of Vermes Switzerland

Town of Palmer Lake Colorado

The Author

My name is Jean-Claude Thossy and I live in Switzerland, in a hill covered area called Jura. I work as a gardener during the warm season, therefore I can afford to visit my friends in the US in the winter, more precisely in Palmer Lake near Monument and Colorado Springs.

I created this website with the purpose of sharing the pleasure of discovering these incredible sceneries, I hope these plants and creatures inspire you to step out (in your backyard or elsewhere) to be astonished with what nature can give to us. I hope you'll be surprised by the forest spirits, and that some of the sunset pictures offer you wonderful dreams.

Don't hesitate to send me a word in the Contact page.

J-C

I have been a passionate, amateur photographer for a few years, I'm discovering the diversity of the Swiss flora in the wonderful Jura environment. While in Colorado I can take the time to observe the less shy wildlife in incredibly beautiful landscape.

Material

- The camera I use is Canon EOS 40D and I upgraded for the 70D, I didn't like it very much and and it crashed after 2 years, I'm now happy with the 80D.

- The lenses are EF 18-35mm f2.8 for wide angle, 100mm macro, EF 70-210mm f4 and 100-400mm f4.5-5.6L IS II. A 500mm f/4 I don't travel with.

- Photo editing is made with the package that came together with the camera.

- Panoramas are put together with Microsoft Ice (see the Landscape page).
