Austin Kemp ran 31 times for 176 yards and four touchdowns as No. 2. Thomas Jefferson (10-0) blanked Hampton, 39-0, in the first round of the WPIAL Class AAA playoffs Friday night.
Kemp scored on a pair of 3-yard runs in the first quarter and added a 10-yard run and 1-yard run to ice the victory.
Chase Winovich and Kyle Senich also scored for the Jaguars, who will play No. 7 Highlands in the quarterfinals next Friday at a site and time to be determined

The No. 2-seeded Jaguars (10-0) posted a victory in the opening round of the playoffs for the 18th consecutive year with a shutout of the visiting Talbots (4-6). It also was the 51st consecutive win at home for the Jaguars.
Austin Kemp rushed for 176 yards on 31 carries and scored four Jaguars touchdowns on runs of 3, 3, 10 and 1 yards. Chase Winovich and Kyle Senich scored Thomas Jefferson's other two touchdowns.
Thomas Jefferson accumulated 352 yards in total offense and held Hampton to 40 yards.
