's

Jaguars Keep Pouring it On:The TJ football team in 2010 secured another Big Eight Conference championship while losing only one game to nationally ranked Cocoa in the season opener.  The team would lose to eventual WPIAL champion Central Valley in the semi-finals after reeling off 11 straight wins.  The squad finished the season at 11-2.  Along with all the highlights, 2010 was the last season for two TJ legends, coaches George Wilson and Jack Garrity who retired after the season's end.

TJ shares the Big Eight Championship:The Jaguars under head coach Bill Cherpak won their 6th straight Big Eight Conference championship, ending the season at 6-3.  The Jaguars would find themselves in familiar territory by hosting the first round of the playoffs, and won an exciting game in overtime versus Greensburg Salem 34-28.  Dom Presto scored the winning touchdown.  They would lose in the second round of the WPIAL playoffs to the Knoch Knights, thus unfortunately ending a terrific season. They were led by seniors Ryan Ruffing, Dom Presto, Bruno Natter, and junior Zach Schademan .

High Flying Jaguars, Perfect at 9-0The 2012 Thomas Jefferson Jaguars  ran the table during the regular season finishing a perfect 9-0, but the way the team did it was not in the normal script of past Jaguar teams.  The Friday night skies were filled with footballs while a multitude of quick Jaguars chased them down.  The tandem of quarterback Joe Carroll and receivers Zach Shademan and Jake Mascaro were tremendous.  The defense was as  impenetrable as ever; giving up a 12 points a game and recording 2 shut outs.  Their effort in the second half of the West Mifflin showdown was monumental.  The team would eventually lose to WPIAL champion West Allegheny in the semi-finals, but the season was a complete success.

Conference Champs and lose in Semi-FinalsThe bar was set high early for the powerful Jaguars with the return of an experienced offensive line, and a leader, in talented Chase Winovich. The Team raced through the regular season and Big 9 Conference winning in convincing fashion every step along the way.  The offense was potent on the ground, and averaged over 30 ppg, and the defense was equally as dangerous giving up a mere touchdown per game.  The Jaguars would garner a spot in the WPIAL semi-finals before losing at the hands of Central Valley.  Making it the 2nd season in a row Bill Cherpak and his team would successfully attain this level of success.

Back to Back WPIAL ChampsFor the 2016 season, the WPIAL realigned from 4 classifications to 6 with TJ moving to 4A.  Though TJs classification changed, the results were the same as they won their 6th WPIAL Championship under coach Cherpak, 7th overall.

The season started in the sunshine of Uniontown stadium, traveled through the raindrops at Trinity, Mars and TJ stadiums and culminated November 18 at Heinz field, with fireworks in the background--the Jags won 42-0 totally dismantling New Castle for their 2nd consecutive WPIAL Championship.
