Leo Giel did not start playing football until his junior year in high school, and was a tremendous wrestler and hockey player.  When he did join the team, he became an immediate starter at middle linebacker, and turned in one of the greatest defensive games ever played verse Peters Township in 1993.  He went on to become a highly ranked division I wrestler at Rider University.
