Laura Malesh, manager … one of the all-time great catchers … goal is bringing first women’s professional championship to San Jose …

After the 1976 season, Laura resigned as the manager of the Sunbirds ending her 29-year softball career. During her softball career she played catcher for the Orange Lionettes, Raybestos Brakettes and the Santa Clara Laurels. She retired as an active player in 1974.
