PSAT/NMSQT Prep Courses

The PSAT is more than a practice test. A high score can open the door to scholarships, advanced classes, and a boost on the SAT and ACT.

Kaplan PSAT Prep Live - Start your prep with PSAT Prep Live, the only free, live PSAT prep program available to students online. Learn more at Lessons start September 23.

PSAT/NMSQT Student Guide - Provides important test details, familiarizes students with question types, and includes test-taking tips.

College Board Practice Tests - Simulate test day by printing and taking official PSAT/NMSQT practice tests.

College Board Sample Questions - Get to know what the new SAT, PSAT/NMSQT, and PSAT 10 will be like by practicing with these sample questions.

Khan Academy Official SAT Practice - A partnership between Khan Academy and College Board.

Scholarship Nominations - Priority Deadline October 15, 2017

A few scholarshiporganizations ask us to nominate one student for their scholarship. IHS is a large public high school, so students interested in being considered for a scholarship opportunity that require a nomination need to complete the following:

  1. Submit the Scholarship Application Nomination Form.
  2. Complete assignments 1 (essay) & 2 (academic resume) of your 12th High School and Beyond Plan requirements.
  3. Career Cruising status bar should show 89% completion to be considered for a scholarship.

If you need assistance with this process, please see the 12th Grade instructions on the HSBP page or visit the College and Career Center in Room 2101.


  1. Submit the Scholarship Application Nomination Form.
  2. Submit your academic resume directly to the career center.

The priority deadline is October 15, 2017 for scholarships that are due prior to November 15, 2017.

The College and Career Center is open most school days.

It helps us help you if you/your student has completed their High School and Beyond Plan grade requirement in Career Cruising prior to scheduling a meeting.

Note:  Parent meetings will begin after October 11th. Our High School and Beyond Family Night is on October 11th (new date). Please Save-the-date for this important event. We will have more information coming soon, however check out last year's event to get an idea of what to expect.
