*Goal-Cluster Mailbox inquiry to look into cost, location, permission from Post Master, future expansion
The committee has requested to move the mailboxes inside the development but that has been denied. The postmaster’s primary reasons are the length of extension from the existing delivery point and the travel distance required on a private road which exceeds postal service delivery guidelines. We were granted permission to install a cluster mailbox system at the current mailbox site where the individual mailboxes are located now. Based on current estimates, the one-time cost per participating household would likely be in the $250–$350 range. This should be enough to cover the purchase and installation of the cluster mailbox for those that choose this mailbox option.

Road Project (Committee: Joyce Thuening, chair , Dave Pierre, Justin Payment, Scott Tulenchik)
2025
Gravel was applied on the bog road starting the 4" base on the road. Gravel was applied on Isle Harbor roads including the Cul De-sac roads and the beach to Ice Road that has not received gravel. This is still working on the 2" base. The Calcium Chloride was delayed in arriving early in the season due to being backordered. Once it arrived at the end of July, the Road Committee had to decide if it was worth putting down for the last few months of the season. Two of our excavating contractors, Charlie Swenson and Mark Ruyak, recommended we wait until early Spring 2026 to get the full benefits of its application. The Road Committee voted 4-1 to make a recommendation to the Board to wait until Spring 2026. The Board approved their recommendation and will apply the Calcium Chloride in the Spring of 2026.
2026 suggested plan:
Apply gravel on the on the bog 10-12 loads to continue a 4" base on the road. Apply 18-20 loads of gravel on Isle Harbor roads, this is still working on the 2" base. We would apply gravel to areas that have not received gravel, this will finish the 2" of gravel within Isle Harbor and we will be able to start on the 4" base.
If we would continue with the above plan, we would complete the 4" base all roads in 2029. According to the contractors that we are working with many of Isle Harbor roads do not need the 4" base, so the main roads in Isle Harbor would be completed sooner. Based on the agreement with Federal Dam for the $5,000 reimbursement and the road usage, we will continue to add gravel to the bog road every year with the 10-12 loads per year would add gravel to each section every five years as a maintenance plan. A similar plan for Isle Harbor roads should be put into place with 5-10 loads of gravel each year.
Dock Project -completed 5/2020
