A systematic note taking method that forces you to make notes with academic integrity, will save you time in the long run and reduce the risk of plagiarism/academic dishonesty.
Develop your own system or use one of the methods below BUT
- NEVER write in full sentences;
- ALWAYS credit sources and identify if text is paraphrased or quoted;
- ALWAYS start with a mini inquiry question so that you are focused from the start of your researching session;
- NEVER read something without making a notes
- Consider the use of digital tools rather than hand written to save time in the long run. This takes practice if you are not used to it. Persevere!

Journal article with lots of evidence, graphs and specific facts. Excellent explanation of why acidification is happening. Will need a Chemist to help to ensure I understand it if I pursue this idea for a topic.
They mention that the impact of acidification on shell fish has been well studied. Are there any studies from Brunei, Borneo or the this region?
