The RRS will develop your communication and reflective skills. It is informal, personal and should support learning, thinking, critical analysis and evaluation, and contributes not only to the development of a successful extended essay but also to skills and competencies for pathways beyond the Diploma Programme.
In preparing for your reflection sessions you could use their RRS to:
- record reflections about your motivation, emotions, time management skills etc.
- respond to artefacts, such as photos, newspaper clippings, twitter feeds, blogs, films, lessons, talks etc
- respond to prompts and questions that may arise in your other subjects, TOK classes or other aspects of the Diploma Programme that form an 'ah-ha' moment of learning.
- create MindMaps®, presentations, iMovies to document knowledge and research
- record emerging questions.
- set yourself interim deadlines and to-do lists to help with effectively managing your time and tasks.
