IRON SMELTING DAYS 2010
The VVvA (society Friend of Archeon) organised this year the iron Smelting Days.
Teams from all over Europa go to make iron from 13 tot 17 October 2010
Goal is to understand by which type of furnace, ore and charcoal we get the best results for making wrought-iron. Every team using the same ore, the same charcoal and the same loam. Each of them will do the experiment .
this is the 7-nd gathering.early events were in Greve Germany, Polle Germany, Eindhoven Netherlands, Palmpond France, Biskupin Poland, Burgberg im Allgau Germany.
