Directions for the April Meeting at Immanuel Lutheran Church:
Coming from the south on Brooks Street:
Turn east, right, onto South Avenue at the stop light by the fair grounds, go past the fair grounds, and the church is just across from Sentinel High School. Parking is behind the church on Sussex. Turn left onto Bow Street from South Avenue and go one block to Sussex, turn left and the church is the second church on the left. Go to the parking lot at the rear of the church. Use the church entrance from the parking lot on Sussex.
Coming from the North, East or West:
Turn off Brooks onto Stephens Avenue, go past CVS and Walgreens on either side of Stephens.
Turn left on Central at the Missoula Manor. Go one block and turn right onto Holburn Street. Proceed one block to Sussex and there is the church and its parking lot. It is the first church on the west end. Use the church entrance from the parking lot on Sussex.
Take the elevator to the Parish Hall. Someone will be at the door to welcome you!

PROGRAM: Jim Sadler, member and AIS judge, will be presenting a program on Single Blossom Iris Entries for AIS Shows. This is an entry where maybe your specimen is not quite perfect or is damaged in transport, etc. He will explain how you can still enter it in the show for everyone to see even though it is not eligible for an AIS award. All of us will enjoy this category. Our judges will be able to get a 1 hour judges credit for this class. They will have to take a test. You can also take the test for fun.
At OUR MARCH MEETING , Delane Langton, member and owner of the Eagle Ridge Iris Garden in Billings, MT, gave a wonderful presentation on his gardens and the Big Sky AIS Convention. Thank you, Delane!

MONTANA THEMED BASKET needed for the THE SILENT AUCTION at the AMERICAN IRIS SOCIETY CONVENTION in Billings, MT: The Missoula Iris Society is going to provide a Montana themed basket of goodies for the convention. If you have anything you would like to donate, it would be much appreciated. Iris themed items are welcome as well as Montana themed items.

MIS IRIS GARDEN AT THE FORT: Judy Blunt checked out the iris garden at the fort and the iris are still pretty dormant. However, the daffodils are peeking out of the ground.
PRESIDENTIAL RHIZOME DRAWINGS: Previous months’ winners were Al Ledford for December and Judy Blunt for March.
