Irene Koc: Young Classical Pianist & Flutist

Irene, a two-time MTNA National Finalist and 1st prize winner of the International Young Artists Piano Competition, has performed at venues in Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, John F. Kennedy Center in D.C., Chisholm Opera House in Minnesota, venues in Budapest, and was featured on the WQXR Public Radio McGraw Hill's Young Artist Broadcast. 

Other notable awards include numerous First Prizes in the NJ Music Educators Association (MEA), NJ Music Teachers Association (NJMTA) Composer Commissioned Competition, NJMTA Young Musician’s Competitions, Steinway Society Piano competition and Princeton Festival Piano Competition, Cecilian Young Artist Competition, Crescendo International Competition, the National Young Musicians Showcase Competition and the National Young Musicians Chamber Music and Ensemble Competition. 

Irene has studied the piano for over 20 years under the tutelage of Dr. Julia Lam and currently is a piano tutor for young students while enrolled in medical school.
