Sorry if anything looks broken. I'm still in the process of migrating to the new version of Google Sites.
Sorry, this page still needs to be updated for the new version of Google Sites. For now, you can find high-quality images of the fake kits in the Google Drive folder embedded above. Older and newer kits are mixed together in the same folder; the ones with V2 in the name were the last ones I made.
Below is the original version of this page from ~2010, but it got a bit mangled by auto-migration to the new version of Google Sites, and I haven't found the time to clean it up. Images below will be blurry/downsampled, so prefer the original ones from Drive above.

Current Fake Kits
Basic Fake Kit
This kit can be used to do many parts (or in some cases, all of) a fake. It does not go into detail on most sections, but should be good for a variety of fakes.
The large square of Map Icons on the left are explained at this RuneWiki page. The Unlisted Icons, from top to bottom, left to right, are Stonemason, Stagnant water, Holiday event, Information, Seasonal event, Loyalty Points Rewards, Grand Exchange guides, Mobilising Armies bases, Clans: Scribe, Clans: Vexillum Stands, Clans: Guard, Clans: Sergeant-At-Arms, Clan Citadel Portal, and Clan Citadel Podium. The Old Icons are General store, Vegetable store, POH portal, Slayer master, and Clan Citadel Portal. The Minimap Dots are player (you), item, NPC, player (other), friend, someone wearing the same clan cape, someone in the same friends chat, and clanmate.
Note that, under Grounds/Walls, Docks are actually sprites, not a solid color, and should be repeated manually. They can be rotated 90 degrees if needed.
Also note that ground is rarely a solid color, and is instead a smooth gradient composed of 4x4 tiles. Click here for a guide on how to imitate this effect.
The left minimap circle is for faking a minimap on a fullscreen or stretched-screen screenshot. The minimap circle on the right is for fixed-screen screenshots.
To use the Antialiased Sprites, for HD minimaps, you must rightclick -> Save Image As... this kit, and open it in an editor capable of reading transparency.
Cursor Kit
This kit contains the cursors you see when hovering over certain things in RuneScape. It also has a small section to help you make your own custom cursors (it says the filter settings you need to get the right shadow). The yellow object in Miscellaneous Cursors may be used to help you cut out a cursor from in-game if it is not in this kit. Note that cursors do not show up in screenshots, but they do in videos.
Note that this kit uses transparency, so in order to use it correctly you must rightclick -> Save Image As... it (copy/pasting it will cause it to lose transparency in some browsers). You also need some program capable of using transparency in order to use it correctly. Some examples are Fireworks (not free), Photoshop (not free), GIMP (free), or Paint.net (free).
Hitsplat Kits
This kit allows you to make fake hitsplats, whether the combat ones, or stuff like disease and healing. It also includes the icons you see next to some hitsplats. The Notes on Alignment and Making Splats covers pretty much everything you need to know. Click the following to see the whole kit - it's huge!
If you feel the above kit is too large, here is a more concise version (missing the Notes on Alignment and Making Splats and Miscellaneous Sample Hitsplats sections):
Note that these kits use transparency, so in order to use them correctly you must rightclick -> Save Image As.. them (copy/pasting it will cause it to lose transparency in some browsers). Font Kit
This kit has the formatting for most RuneScape fonts (including various uses of Arial), with practically every character in each different font color or shadow style I have seen it used.
It can help get formatting right, and may be one of your only options if you cannot download my fonts. However, I recommend you don't use it to build a fake letter-by-letter, as that would be incredibly difficult!
An alternative to using that kit to build text is to use my Flash RuneScape Font Machine (1.1). You may download it as a Windows EXE from Mediafire.
Old/Outdated Fake Kits
Coming Soon...
I can upload some on request, if there's interest (e.g. for OSRS)
There was interest (thanks, u/lookitsjoj!). The older kits are mixed together with the newer ones in the Google Drive folder. I don't expect any to match OSRS exactly though, since OSRS doesn't look identical to how RS looked back when I made these kits.
Questions and Answers
Q: How do I use these kits?
A: It's easy. First you need to get the kit onto your computer. You can do one of two things:
1) Right-click the image and click "Save Image As...". Then save into your computer as a PNG (Portable Networks Graphic). Then you can open up the kit in your graphical program.
2) Right-click the image and click "Copy Image". Open up your graphical program and paste it into the program (either Ctrl+V; Edit>Paste; or choose the select tool, right-click, and click "Paste"). NOTE: Do not do this for kits which have transparency - it may cause it to lose its transparency!
Download the kits you want from the Google Drive folder, to avoid downsampling/blurring.
Now, to use the kits: you can do either of the following:
3a) Open up another document in your program, and copy and paste parts of the kit as you use them to make the fake. This can also work for using multiple kits.
3b) Make the fake directly out of the kit. If you used the first method to get the kit onto your computer, you may want to save the fake under a different file name.
Q: Do I have to give credit if I use these kits for my fakes?
A: That would depend on what kit you are using. If I want you to give credit for a kit, I will make a note telling you to give credit. For some kits, I only require credit if you use a specific part of the kit (e.g. custom elements which didn't actually come from RS). If there is no message requesting credit, then you do not have to give credit, but you still can if you're feeling nice
.
Q: Okay... Then how do I give credit?
A: Well, you can either put it in your post "This fake was made using WolfieMario's Fake Kits." or "Parts of this fake were made using WolfieMario's Fake Kits.", or you can put it in your fake "The kit used to make this fake was made by WolfieMario".
Q: Can I post these kits on some forum or website?
A: Well, yes, so long as you mention it was by me (WolfieMario). You must not remove my name from any of these kits!
Q: Erm... This kit I'm trying to use is confusing. How do I use it?
A: Well, most kits have some instructions in them to help you use more difficult sections. Feel free to contact me at Sal's, Tip.It, Zybez, RuneHQ, RuneScape Bits&Bytes, or YouTube (click links for my profile at each; you can PM me from there) Reddit if you can't figure something out in my kits. (Beware: I'm extremely inactive these days, and might not see your messages for ~months. Also, it's been over a decade since I've made RS fakes myself, so uh...)
Q: In MS Paint, when I use the select tool, there's always a white box around it. Is there a way to stop that from happening?
A: All you have to do is select the second option when selecting. See this image for details. The blue box: is the Select Tool, the red box: is the transparent select setting, and the green box: is the color which will be transparent in selection. You just choose the tool and option, and make sure the background color is set to white.

Coming Soon... Never. Sorry, I stopped making RS fakes around 2012.
